Atlas is an engineering team built inside real APC and plant environments, focused on how plants actually run

Our Observation

A consistent pattern emerges:
performance isn't owned end-to-end

What we observed

Over time, a consistent pattern shows up. Systems are implemented correctly, but performance degrades as operating conditions change.

Models drift from plant behavior. Operators step in more frequently to maintain stability. Variability increases across the unit.

Performance spans multiple functions, but no single group owns it end-to-end. As a result, issues are managed day-to-day, but the underlying causes remain.

Atlas is built around this gap, where performance is lost after implementation. Our focus is on restoring alignment and maintaining it as conditions evolve.

"Atlas has been an exceptional innovation partner,
delivering advanced process control solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability."

Atlas is built on three pillars

Restoration
Elevation
Inception
Restoration

Focuses on performance that has degraded. Over time, models no longer reflect the plant, constraints widen, and operators compensate through manual intervention. Atlas identifies where alignment has been lost and corrects it under real operating conditions, restoring the system to a stable, reliable baseline.

Elevation

Applies to systems that are stable but not operating at their full potential. Unnecessary buffers, conservative constraints, and variability limit performance. Atlas strengthens control, tightens precision, and reduces variability so the plant can operate closer to its practical limits with greater confidence.

Inception

Addresses environments where control maturity is limited or absent. Stability depends heavily on operator intervention, and control strategy is often fragmented. Atlas establishes the foundation required for consistent, controlled performance by building the necessary structure within the existing operating environment.

Most approaches are designed to deliver improvement, but few are structured to address where the plant actually is. If performance has degraded, it must be restored. If it is stable, it can be elevated. If capability is missing, it must be built.

Improvement can be delivered in a project. Sustained performance requires ongoing oversight. Atlas is structured for both.

A focused, technical team

2019 - Founded inside operating environments

Atlas was founded in 2019 as a focused engineering team working inside complex chemical and process environments. The team is composed primarily of chemical engineers with hands-on experience in advanced process control, reactor operations, and real-time optimization.

Deep domain experience

The team brings experience from large-scale polymer and chemical operations, including work alongside leading process technology licensors. Atlas was founded by an engineer with more than a decade of experience in large-scale chemical operations and advanced process control, including work across global chemical manufacturing environments.

How we operate

Atlas works within existing control ecosystems, supporting both mature APC environments and units without formal advanced control. Engagements are collaborative, technical, and centered on measurable performance under live operating conditions.

Vendor-neutral by design

Atlas operates as a vendor-neutral performance partner, selecting and supporting the tools best suited to each operating environment.
